Rosemary rented our machine to quilt this piece. She won a prize at Quilt Reflections 2016 for her efforts. Congratulations Rosemary.
This is the second quilt I've done for Mary. She does such fantastic piecing. I liked the pattern so much that I've started one for a family member. Shh, it's a surprise!
Here is a link to a tutorial on this pattern. Quilt Reflections 2016 is in the history books. What a great show! We are so impressed with the talent and skill of the quilters who submitted their works to the show. Congratulations to everyone involved.
Besides trying to catch up on rest after a very busy week, I am also editor of the Manitoba Prairie Quilter newsletter and have finished the last official edition for this year which will be distributed to members at the meeting tomorrow. I am also working on a special quilt show edition which should be out in time for the May MPQ meeting and we are preparing a DVD with pictures of all the quilts entered in the show. That should also be available in May. Did I mention that I am also web master for MPQ.... updating the website...year end reports... Whew! In my spare time I try to do some quilting. |
