I got this lovely bouquet from the kids today. Nice to know they are thinking of me 😍.

I had a great day at Needle Craft + Studio in Beausijour yesterday. The only thing is that I didn't get a chance to see the show. I was going to try to go back to see it this morning but couldn't break away from the many jobs here. I'm trying to finish some projects for next weekend and time is running out. Where DOES the time go? Sigh!

Liz brought this quilt that she pieced to quilt on our long arm. Despite a few machinery glitches, it turned out quite nice. She plans to donate it to Ronald McDonald House. Glad we could help out with a worthy project.

I'll be in Beausejour on Friday (May 12)

The Lockport studio will be closed on Friday, May 12th. I'm going to be Beausejour all day. Hint, there is a quilt show there!

I'll be at Needle Crafts + Studio at 524 Park Avenue, across the street from the show. If you are going to this show stop in the shop and say hello. I'll have some threads and notions there to sell as well.

International Guilds Day, 2017

Manitoba Prairie Quilters and the North Star Quilters from North Dakota have been exchanging visits for many years. This year it was Manitoba's turn to host and we were invited to be one of the participating vendors. Thirty-four quilters made the excursion from Grand Forks to share a day of quilt talk and general socializing with a large contingent of Manitoba Quilters. It was a successful event and we were very pleased to have been invited to participate.

Great Show in Headingly

WOW! What a great show we attended on Friday and Saturday! Kudos to all the ladies (and gentlemen) of the Assiniboine Circle Quilters who put in so much work to run a great event. We heard that over 400 visitors came to see the remarkable display of quilting talent.

It was so nice to see so many of our friends there and meet many new ones.

Today we are getting the studio organized and looking forward to lots of quilting this week. And then, on Saturday, we will be attending the International Guild Day at MPQ as one of the invited vendors. That, by the way, means the Lockport studio will be closed on Saturday, May 6th.
