At the last Quilt Reflections 2016 show I took the Design Freedom course with the remarkable Helen Fujiki. I've finally finished my project from that workshop.
The Lady Bugs? For the last two years my studio has been invaded by Asian Lady Beetles. They seem to love the crevices in the cedar siding for a winter home. When they awaken in the spring some of them go the wrong way and end up inside the studio. The Asian lady Beetles seemed like the perfect complement to Helen's Japanese influenced design. Judith was in the shop looking for supplies for one of her pieces that will be in this show. Her work is always stunning. I'm looking forward to visiting this exhibit.
The coming week is packed with both quilting and non-quilting activities here, some of which mean changing our studio hours.
On Saturday, October 15th I will be participating in the InStitches workshop at Little Britain. We will be closed all day. Then, on Wednesday and Thursday (October 19-20) we will be open 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Having a great time at the quilt show in the East St. Paul Arena. Stop by and see us today until 4 PM.
