A couple of weeks after we spread mulch in this area we had several surprise Hostas pop up that we forgot we had parked here last fall. It was a pleasant surprise because we had just been discussing which Hostas we could subdivide to put here in the fall. We got the bricks for this patio from Helen's brother years ago but never really used it until this year. It has now become our favourite outdoor seating area.
